We are here to serve the needs of your local community and the Nation at large. Through research, education and consultation we provide sound advice on how municipalities and private businesses can reduce harmful emissions, improve air and water quality, increase energy security, and create jobs that contribute directly to the local economy all while reducing fleet vehicle maintenance costs and saving money.
Vital to fulfilling our mission we conduct surveys, feasibility studies/risk assessment and various research projects.
The ever increasing demand for food, fuel and carbon mitigation has created an environment of competing interests that threatens to limit the progress of these three drivers of sustainability. The need to untangle these currently interconnected markets so that the success of one does not come at the expense of another, invites a solution that simultaneously produces food and renewable fuel while reducing the CO2.
We have identified algae as a unique feedstock that can become the key to long term sustainability because of its high oil content, nutritional value and ability to consume large amounts of CO2 much more readily than any other type of biomass.
We foresee algae as a centerpiece of a bio-economy that will deliver more economic stimulus than the computer did in its first 50 years of commercial availability. Algae will be used to produce fuels, foods, feeds, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and other advanced materials.
In an effort to gain acceptance by the public and allow biofuel producers the time needed to meet demand, we are recommending that when any entity makes the decision to begin using biofuels that they start with a minimum of a 5% biofuel blend and then increase by 5% annually until 100% biofuel content is reached.
Our position is that it is going to take diversifying the types of fuels and the sources of those fuels to address the number of problems we are facing. (Biodiesel, Biobutanol, Cellulosic Ethanol, Hydrogen, Renewable Diesel)
It's time to think outside the barrel.
